EMMERDALE fans are confused after Charity Dingle confided in her kidnapper for sympathy over Mackenzie Boyd’s cheating.

The Woolpack landlady – who is played by actress Emma Atkins in Emmerdale– has been left devastated by the news that Mack fathered Chloe Harris’ baby.

Charity Dingle left fans baffled by her actions on tonight’s show

Viewers flocked to Twitter to comment on her behaviour

But with her marriage in tatters, her life destroyed and self-esteem at an all time low, Charity has been searching for a kind ear wherever she can find it.

But her choice of confidant at The Hop, with ex Jai Sharma is a strange one.

She was talking to him tonight but their history is not a good one.

While Mack may have fathered a baby during a break, Jai kidnapped Charity and tortured her by holding her in a shipping container for weeks on end.

And fans are finding it very strange how Charity can be near him considering what he did.

One wrote: “My heart breaks for Charity.”

A second said: “Aww Charity.”

Another added: “Charity is upset that she had a miscarriage and now Mack had a baby with Chloe, so she probably thinks she can’t be good enough as she can’t give him a child. I do feel for her having to see them every day.”

Meanwhile Charity was even more devastated when she found out baby Reuben had been given Mack’s surname as a middle name.

It left her in pieces once again – especially after seeing Mack with Chloe and the baby having just registered his birth.
