VIEWERS were given the shock of a lifetime and were finally told what big secret Home Farm nanny Nicky was keeping.
But as they expect all hell to break loose in Emmerdale, they’ve also speculated the character could embark on a shock affair.

Many jaws dropped to the floor during last night’s instalment of the Yorkshire-based ITV drama.
Caleb Milligan (portrayed by Will Ash) initially rocked up the eponymous village by introducing himself as the son of the late Faith Dingle, making him Cain and Chas’ long-lost brother.
The suave businessman remained shrouded in mystery until Thursday, April 6, 2023, when it was revealed that he was also Frank Tate’s son.
In yet another shocking twist, viewers found out he shared a connection with nanny-no-name Nicky.
The character played by Lewis Cope is, in fact, his son and the pair have come up with a plan to bring Kim Tate down and take over Home Farm.
Many fans of the program were satisfied by the twist.
“I’m just relieved Nicky, a newcomer to the village, turned out to have a secret after all. I was worried they’d forgotten to give him one”, one of them commented on a Digital Spy forum.
But as Nicky revealed his true colours, some were taken aback by his clear repulsion of fiancée Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and have been led to expect another explosive secret.
According to one viewer, Nicky could be gay and may find love in the form of a freshly single resident.
“Are they foreshadowing a future storyline where he reveals he is actually gay ….. and will probably hook up with Ethan”, they penned.
Village solicitor Ethan Anderson (Emile John) was recently cheated on by his partner Marcus Dean (Darcy Grey) who left Emmerdale as soon as he was caught.
Branded “boring” and heartbroken, he’s been keeping his love life at bay ever since but Nicky could well be the new love interest he needs.
Many other Emmerdale viewers agreed that Nicky could be gay on Twitter but this isn’t new as they began to suspect he would be attracted to men as early as January, when he continually rejected Gabby’s advances.
“I think Nicky is gay? He sounds disgusted that he has to sleep with Gabby. Gabby is an attractive young lady yet Nicky comments about her it sounds like he isn’t into women . He told his dad to focus on the goal”, one social media user wrote.
Another added: “I always assumed that Nicky was gay and he probably is.”
But one mystery remains when it comes down to the hunk – who is his mother and is she involved in life in the village?
Nicky was shown popping the question to Gabby in the Hide Café, much to the shock of Kim Tate who was appalled to find out they were romantically involved.
She fired him on the spot but Nicky maintained he was in love with Gabby.
Viewers have been suspecting he could have a connection with Caleb earlier this year but they believed they could be trying to bring down Dawn Fletcher for the murder of DI Mark Malone.
Meanwhile, Caleb got closer to village wedding planner Leyla Harding and the pair have embarked on a surprising romance.
But could he be pulling a Nicky and using her for his endgame?
