WEDDING preparations are underway for Gabby Thomas and Nicky Milligan.
But tonight in Emmerdale, the groom-to-be is fighting the urge to come clean and step out of his father’s devious plans.
Nicky Milligan is celebrating his stag do tonight
But distractions keep him from enjoying the big day
Will he break free from his father Caleb?
The Home Farm nanny played by Lewis Cope is trapped into wreaking havoc with his father Caleb Milligan after the pair rocked up the famous ITV village to take Kim Tate’s millions.
Caleb (portrayed by Will Ash) was revealed to be Frank Tate’s illegitimate son with Faith Dingle and he’s harbouring a deep hatred for the businesswoman.
He not only wants to take what he believes to be his birthright but is also hellbent on revenge for his father’s death.
But while Caleb is bubbling with rage, Nicky was thrown helpless into a romantic relationship with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) in an effort to get his hands on her share of the family fortune.
This quickly escalated when Nicky proved his supposed love by asking for Gabby’s hand in marriage.
Little did Caleb and everybody else in the Dales know at the time that Nicky is in fact head over heels for his pal Ally (Josh Horrocks).
Nicky tried to keep his sexuality a secret not only from Gabby but particularly from his own father.
However, Caleb eventually caught on and the pair shared a tender father-son moment – until Nicky admitted he wanted out of his plan.
Blinded by greed and presumably edging towards bankruptcy, Caleb vowed to destroy his son if he ever went against him.
Nicky thus has no other choice but to go along with Caleb’s plan to marry him off to Gabby.
In tonight’s trip to the eponymous Dales, the future married couple are due to celebrate their stag and hen do.
But Nicky begins to feel the pressure building as he agrees to meet Ally in private the following day.
Could the lovers be caught?
Will this secret meeting push him to finally come clean?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
