Ethan narrowly escaped the worst earlier in 2022 after being brutally attacked by his former client Jordan.
Since then, he’d been standing on the side-lines as his father Charles and sister Naomi got to know one another – before the latter faced trial for Nicola King’s attack.
But not everything in Ethan’s life has spiralled out of control.
For the past few months, he’s been romantically involved with Marcus Dean (played by Darcy Grey) and their relationship is becoming increasingly serious.
Coming up next week, Marcus is delighted when Ethan agrees they should find a place of their own, which they’d been debating for months.
However in later scenes, Ethan makes the mistake of inviting Greg, his sketchy boss, out for a meal.
The couple have to form a united front when Ethan becomes flustered as Greg arrives.
Thankfully for him, a calming Marcus manages to placate Ethan.
Greg will be shown enjoying his lunch – but could he have another agenda?
Will he bring trouble to Ethan?
Manpreet Sharma actress Rebecca Sarker recently teased some troubled times for her character and the Anderson family.
The village GP, her partner and his children will be involved in the repercussions from Nicola’s court case against the girls who attacked her in June, 2022.
Rebecca also promised that the festive season will be an emotional rollercoaster for many residents of the Dales.
“Buckle up guys”, she wrote on Instagram.
“It’s going to be a bumpy ride for some residents of Emmerdale this Christmas.”
But what does this mean for Ethan?
In recent scenes, Marcus confronted an unfaithful Nate Robinson after he cheated on Naomi Anderson with his former fiancée Tracy Metcalfe.
Fans of the Yorkshire-based drama noticed Ethan looked uneasy as Marcus grilled Nate over his infidelity.
The solicitor eventually laughed off a question from Marcus who had playfully asked him if he had something to hide.
