LYDIA Dingle has been eager to become a grandmother since she found Amelia Spencer was pregnant.
But this could be cut short as she gets some horrific news following a storm in Emmerdale.

The teenager portrayed by Daisy Campbell has benefitted from the support of her boyfriend Noah Dingle since she found out she was expecting a child.
This was mostly due to the fact the biological father of her baby, Samson Dingle, refused to be involved in any way in her surprise pregnancy.
However, his stepmother Lydia (played by Karen Blick) has been ready to form a happy family with Amelia and her baby.
And when the sixteen-year old goes into labour in the midst of a storm, next week on ITV, Lydia is desperate to find her.
The cleaner arrives in Home Farm, demanding help in the search for Amelia and Kim Tate (Claire King) steps up to saddle her horse as the teen reportedly went missing on her land.
But the businesswoman isn’t alone as her love rival PC Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) also decides to face the dangerous weather conditions in the hopes of finding Amelia for her father Dan.
The vicar-turned-policewoman sets out on a quad bike to find the young mother.
Kim struggles against the elements on her horse when she spots the tyre tracks of Harriet’s quad and she begins to follow the path into the woods.
Meanwhile, Amelia finds shelter as her contractions continue.
Hiding out in a barn from the storm, she begins to pray for her and her baby’s safety as Dan continues his search for her.
To make matters worse, a barn at Moira Dingle’s farm collapses and the cows escape, panicking in the wind.
A huge stampede threatens to wreck the village – could Amelia be spared?
Sadly, in later scenes, Lydia gets some terrible news.
But could it really be Amelia?
Or will her family be hit with another tragedy?
Soap bosses and stars alike have teased some major events for Emmerdale’s fiftieth anniversary – and deaths are definitely on the table.
But who will survive?
