TRACY Metcalfe surprised viewers when she made her way back to the Dales in late 2022.
Actress Amy Walsh teased her character’s upcoming return to Emmerdale as she ties up some loose ends.

Tracy has evolved throughout her years in the Dales, growing to become a true career woman after hardship.
However, this led her out of the eponymous ITV village and straight to Nottingham in early 2022, much to Nate Robinson’s devastation.
At the time, the couple had been on the rocks due to Tracy finding out Nate had cheated on her.
Although he was tempted to hold Tracy and their daughter Frankie back, Nate eventually accepted the idea of their departure.
But actress Amy Walsh briefly returned to Yorkshire to celebrate the long-running soap’s fiftieth anniversary – and her on-screen alter ego made the most of her presence in the village by sleeping with her ex Nate.
Realising that Nate was then involved with Naomi Walters, Tracy left Emmerdale and was well on her way to tie the knot with her mysterious fiancé who had been waiting for her in Nottingham.
Yet during a chat with HOAR and other press, Amy Walsh revealed that there will always be a lingering chemistry between both characters.
“The scenes of the last few days, there were moments there that gave that hint the love was still there”, she said.
“They’d had a bit of a fling then, they stepped away from each other. And there was a scene where Tracy went back to the hospital to tell him she wanted to be with him and she saw him with Naomi.”
“So there was a hint there that there was unfinished business and I think that’s quite true to life. You have a child with someone, there’s always going to be that pull towards each other.”
Earlier this year, soap boss Jane Hudson teased weddings to come this summer in the Dales – one of which will be Tracy’s as she’s due to be spotted back in the village wearing a wedding gown.
“She wanted to get married in Yorkshire, didn’t she?”, Amy continued.
“She’s spotted at a local registry office by herself, with Frankie, and then a handsome young man by her side.”
But could she have left things off with Nate more open-ended than expected?
