ITV viewers suspected that Sam Dingle would take action after learning that his wife Lydia was raped by Craig Reed. Lydia and Craig have a complicated history and rekindled their bond upon his arrival in the village. However, Craig's desires for Lydia went beyond friendship, and Lydia knew she had to let him down gently after a nearly-kissed moment. But Craig didn't take no for an answer and raped Lydia, leaving her devastated.
A Quest for Justice
In recent scenes, Sam turned to his half-brother Cain Dingle, expressing his desire for Craig to pay for hurting Lydia. The cleaner attempted to report her assault to the police, but with Cain as her brother-in-law, viewers believed Craig's comeuppance would involve violence.
A Shocking Discovery
Next week, Billy Fletcher finds Craig's lifeless and bloodied body on the Home Farm estate where Lydia works. Lydia gathers the Dingle family at The Woolpack, convinced that one of her relatives is responsible for Craig's death. Recently, he got involved with criminal Harry, who left him beaten after Caleb refused to keep guns for him. But could Caleb's list of wrongdoings include murder?

As Lydia interrogates various members of the Dingle family, her focus shifts to Caleb and Nate Robinson. The two offer their account of the day, revealing what really happened. Flashback scenes shed light on Caleb's actions, but what is he hiding?
The Shocking Revelation
Despite establishing everyone's alibi, Lydia remains troubled by someone's deceit. Unable to bear her distress, Sam, consumed by guilt, reveals there's more to his version of events. Finally, the truth about Craig's fate that night is unveiled. What will Sam tell Lydia? And is Caleb involved?
