JAMIE Lomas has revealed his beloved dad has passed away after a long battle with cancer.
The Hollyoaks star shared his sad loss via a post uploaded to his Instagram feed on Saturday afternoon.

Captioning a black and white throwback photo of him posing with his dad, Jamie – who plays Warren Fox in the Channel 4 soap – wrote: “My best mate. My hero. RIP dad.
“A true legend. A sad day.”
The 48-year-old star followed it with a red love heart emoji.
The actor’s followers were quick to flood the comments section to offer their condolences.
His Hollyoaks co-star Chelsee Healey penned: “Jamie i’m so so sorry you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.”
Fellow Hollyoaks star Roxanne McKee wrote: “Thinking of you.”
Jamie revealed back in 2020 that his dad had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
He signed up for The Real Full Monty on Ice that year following his dad’s news.
At the time he told why he wanted to support the show that raises awareness of cancers in intimate areas of the body, such as the prostate and breast.
Jamie told the Mirror: “My dad suffers with prostate cancer. So for me to be able to give something back for him by doing this show, for everyone as we’ve had such an awful six months, there must be so many people going undiagnosed [with cancer].
“ITV have battled to get this show out there. It’s just an amazing thing to do to get this out there for people who may be struggling. If it saves just one person, then the show is worth it.”
It comes as Jamie got engaged to his girlfriend last week.
He decided to pop the question while the couple were on holiday in Mexico.
Jamie and Jess were first linked back in 2021 after they met through mutual friends.
The Hollyoaks legend was previously married to Corrie favourite Kym Marsh between 2012 and 2014.
The pair met in 2008 and share son Archie, who died in 2009 after being born prematurely at 21 weeks, and daughter Polly, 11.
Jamie also has a son called Billy.
