CORONATION Street fans are in for treat this Christmas as the ITV soap opens up its set this December.
Since 2018 die-hard viewers have been allowed visit the famous cobbles, which is based in MediaCity in Manchester.
Bosses at the Corrie tours are shaking things up over the festive period
The expert tours, which are typically 90 minutes long, will pay homage to historic Corrie scenes with a ‘festive twist’.
Fans already get to see all the iconic buildings, such as the Rovers Return and The Kabin.
And now bosses at the long-running programme have gone down memory lane as they shakeup the set tour.
They’ve picked out the most iconic Christmas storylines from over 60 years of Corrie.
The expert tours, which are typically 90 minutes long, will pay homage to the historic scenes with a ‘festive twist’.
Their ’12 Tales of Christmas’ features plots such as Dev Alahan and Deirde Barlow sleping together in 2001, and Jack and Vera Duckworth’s villain son Terry returning to the cobbles following his time in jail to cause heartache in 1993.
Also included is Karen McDonald and Tracey Barlow’s rivalry coming to ahead when Karen pretended Tracey and Steve’s baby Amy was in the car she had set fire to.
Hilda Ogden’s emotional exit in 1987 also makes the list – with the episode pulling in a whopping 27 million viewers.
Meanwhile, this Christmas in Weatherfield is set to be a joyful and warmth occasion.
Viewers have watched mechanic Tyrone get down on one knee and propose to Fiz in recent scenes.
Unbeknownst to her, the character, who is played by Alan Halsall, is planning a surprise Christmas Day wedding.
And over the festive period the show will make a few nods to one of the most-loved TV couples – Jack and Vera Duckworth, who were played by Liz Dawn and Bill Tarmey.
