What's Wrong with Joseph Brown?

The health of Joseph Brown, played by William Flanagan, has become a source of concern in recent episodes of Coronation Street. While his father Chesney Brown, played by Sam Aston, remains unconcerned, his stepmother Gemma Winter, played by Dolly-Rose Campbell, raises alarm bells.

Joseph was brought to the hospital after complaining of a persistent headache, with Gemma refusing to take any risks. However, once at the hospital, Gemma was dismissed and Joseph was given a clean bill of health. Speculation arose that he may have been poisoned, and Gemma was immediately blamed.

Social services became involved, and Gemma was forced to move out of her own home and away from her children while the investigation unfolded.

Linda Hancock's Return and the Continuing Health Issues

In the upcoming episodes, Joseph continues to complain of a temperature, which leads to another disagreement between Chesney and Gemma. Gemma confides in her twin brother, Paul Foreman, played by Peter Ash, about her concerns for Joseph's health and the potential impact on her situation with social services.

Gemma shares her concerns with Dr Gaddas, causing a tense moment when Chesney overhears. The arrival of Linda Hancock interrupts a lighthearted moment with the kids, and tensions rise.

Linda, played by Jacqueline Leonard, returns to Coronation Street after months away and takes matters into her own hands. She gives Chesney a business card for a family solicitor, but he refuses to discuss it.

As Joseph's health deteriorates further, Chesney discovers that the fridge is broken and all the food has gone off. He rushes Joseph out of the house, and Gemma accuses him of plotting to take her children away.

With Joseph now collapsing on the sofa, barely conscious, Chesney panics and instructs Linda to call an ambulance. It is then revealed that Joseph may have Lyme disease, which he contracted while camping.

What's Next for Chesney, Linda, and Gemma?

As the doctor reveals the suspected diagnosis, Chesney and Linda are left to grapple with their emotions. Will they be able to support Joseph through his illness? And will Gemma return home to face the challenges ahead?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8pm on ITV.
