LOVE Island’s Amy Day wants to land a part in EastEnders or Hollyoaks after leaving the ITV2 reality show.
The trained musical theatre graduate, 26, has exclusively told HOAR’s About Last Night that she hopes to appear on the “West End or screen” after getting dumped with Hugo Hammond last week.
She said: “West End has always been a dream and also doing TV. Fingers crossed, manifest and hopefully you’ll see me on your screen soon.
“I’ve always loved Hollyoaks and Eastenders too. Soaps are my kind of thing but if I had to choose, Hollyoaks would be the one.”
Former winner Amber Davies, 24, went on to star in Dolly Parton’s West End musical 9 to 5 after winning the show with Kem Cetinay, 25, in 2017.
Amy came face to face with former flame Hugo Hammond on Friday on a night out with fellow Love Island contestants in London.
It’s the first time the pair have seen each other since their awkward date which was screened on ITV spin-off After Sun.
Speaking about last week’s awkward encounter with Hugo, Amy said: “Hugo joined us, we had a quick hug but we didn’t speak the whole night.”
Amy now has her sights set on dumped Islanders Sam Gowland and Harry Young.
She added: “I’d definitely go on a date with Sam and Harry. I saw them together on Friday night and I’ll be seeing lots more of them.”

Speaking to host Laura Whitmore on After Sun, Amy said: “Oh, I’m cracking now to be out of the way of Hugo, really.”
The Surrey stunner called him “fake” and said he acted like he was on “the Hugo show”.
Amy certainly didn’t hold back as she also said: “I think to sum it up, Hugo says that he wants to stay true to himself – can you not be true to everyone else at the same time?”
But Hugo stood his ground and replied: “I don’t really know what I can say, it makes me feel sad that you feel this way.
“If that’s the way you feel, that’s the way you feel.”
