SAM Blakeman faced a murderous Harvey Gaskell in prison with questions about his mother’s death.

But his father Nick Tilsley finds out there’s another bad influence around the boy in Coronation Street.

Nick Tilsley isn’t happy to see his son Sam get close to Damon Hay

He knows Damon’s secret

Damon’s influence on Sam has negative consequences

The eleven-year-old schoolboy portrayed by Jude Riordan recently took it upon himself to confront Harvey Gaskell behind bars, despite his father’s disapproval.

In scenes due on ITV next week, it seems Sam has toughened up, particularly when his bully Conny approaches him in the school corridor.

She’s shocked to see him stand up to her – but the situation escalates abruptly.

Nick (Ben Price) takes a call from Sam’s school, informing the youngster was involved in a fight.

Sam faces the consequences of his actions and explains that he received some advice from shady newcomer Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths).

This sends Nick into a fury and his other half Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is baffled at his reaction.

Indeed, in scenes prior to this, Nick was deeply concerned to find Damon showing Sam how to use his DJ equipment as the Bistro was being set up for a Boozy Night.

Later on and unbeknownst to his father, Sam asked for some tips on fighting from Damon.

Leanne has taken a liking to Damon as he has become invested in business at the Bistro.

However, Nick found out why Damon was so set on helping them out.

After being spotted with Sam, the dodgy character tells Nick that he’s expecting a delivery of drugs at the Bistro in the afternoon.

To make matters worse, it’ll be up to Nick to deal with it.

Following Sam’s troubles in school, Nick is at the end of his rope.

He confesses to Leanne that Damon is not only Harvey Gaskell’s brother but is also using their restaurant for drug deliveries.

Leanne’s reaction to the news remains to be seen but she could react with hostility towards Damon.

As viewers of the Manchester-based soap will know, Harvey Gaskell wreaked havoc in the cobbles and groomed Leanne’s adoptive son Simon Barlow into working for him.

Simon was thrown into a lot of trouble due to this and Jacob Hay’s involvement only made matters worse for him.

Leanne tried to get Simon away from Harvey but the criminal was ready for revenge when she turned to the police.

In a rage, Harvey had decided to murder Leanne… only to kill Sam’s mother by mistake instead.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV.
