AMY Barlow has accused Aaron Sandford of rape but the lad is allowed to roam free in the cobbles.
However, his friendships in Coronation Street are hanging by a thread and, to make matters worse, he receives terrible news next week.

Aaron Sandford (portrayed by James Craven) has seen a drastic change occur in his life in Weatherfield.
Following some harrowing baby drama, Aaron and his girlfriend Summer Spellman broke up and he ended up kissing her good friend, Amy Barlow.
The pair got drunk together which escalated into Aaron taking advantage of Amy.
Left to deal with her trauma from the ordeal, Aaron has been insisting he is innocent and never raped Amy.
But due to her psychological state, Amy has received the support of many of their friends and Aadi Alahan was even ready to confront Aaron – and introduce him to his fists.
Aaron continues to live at the builder’s yard flat, despite tensions brimming because of his actions.
Next week on ITV, however, matters only get worse for the rapist when his formerly alcoholic father Eric rocks up the cobbles and breaks some terrible news to him.
Aaron finds out that his grandmother has died and a reformed Eric insists that he’d like to take him and Abi Webster (Sally Carman) out for dinner.
Regular viewers of the long-running program may remember that Aaron and Eric haven’t had the best relationship.
Eric was abusive to Aaron and eventually led him away with his angry and drunken antics – could they finally mend their bond?
This could well be these as Eric later calls at the garage and shows Aaron the keys to his new flat.
He suggests Aaron should move back in with him – but what will the lad decide?
Meanwhile, Amy is struggling to cope with the trauma she was left with after her rape.
And it slowly catches up to her once again during a mundane situation.
