DAISY Midgeley was saved from an acid attack by Ryan Connor in recent scenes.

But the latter is on edge when he receives dramatic news about his injuries next week in Coronation Street.

How will Ryan Connor cope with his injuries?

He gets shock news about his injuries next week

Ryan Connor (portrayed by Ryan Prescott) stood between Daisy Midgeley and her stalker Justin when the unstable character tried to ruin her life one last time by throwing acid at her.

At the time, the Weatherfield hunk was planning to jet off to Ibiza for his career as a DJ but this was put on hold when his injuries led him straight to hospital.

Justin (played by Andrew Still) was arrested after being tricked by Daisy but Ryan has a long way to go as the attack will be life-changing for him.

Coming up on ITV next week, Ryan is still in hospital when his ongoing love interest Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) pays him a visit.

The Speed Dahl co-owner made a promise to her former boyfriend and is adamant on standing by him in the aftermath of his attack.

But she drops a bombshell on him when she tells Ryan that he won’t be discharged until he’s seen his own injuries.

Alya then gently points out that he’s been putting it off – will he listen to her and come to terms with his attack?

In later scenes, Ryan gets another visit from Carla Connor (Alison King) and their conversation leads to him admitting that he couldn’t manage without Alya.

Could this lead to the pair giving their romance another go?

Speaking about what’s ahead for his character to Metro.co.uk, Ryan Prescott teased that the attack “will change the way [he] interacts with the world.”

“The difficulty within the parameters of soap is to show some kind of reality that comes with the longevity of what it means to be an acid attack survivor.”

“The recovery period is so long, if not lifelong. It’s psychotherapy, physiotherapy for many years if not the rest of your life. PTSD, trauma therapy, learning the simple things of dealing with people looking at you in the street.”

Ryan will also be one of the many characters to attend Justin’s dramatic trial.

Recent shots have shown actors Ryan Prescott, Charlotte Jordan, Rob Mallard and Alison King filming the scenes which are due to be aired in late May.

Will it really be the end of Daisy’s stalking ordeal?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
