DAISY Midgeley fears for her own safety this week as her stalker Justin takes things to the next level.

Meanwhile, Leanne Battersby is made aware of another danger roaming Coronation Street.

Daisy Midgeley has a stalker

Justin became infatuated with her after meeting her in hospital

But he takes things too far this week

1. Daisy is terrified

The beloved Rovers barmaid played by Charlotte Jordan has not only been focusing on her upcoming wedding but has also dedicated time to her social media presence.

In scenes due to air on ITV, Daisy tells her fiancé Daniel (Rob Mallard) and her estranged mother Christina (newcomer and TV legend Amy Robbins) that she intends to drum up some freebies for her wedding through her social marketing.

But this won’t have the perks she was hoping for.

When Daniel calls at Preston’s Petals, asking Tracy Barlow if she’ll provide the wedding flowers free of charge, the florist is seriously unimpressed.

Christina is just as unhappy as Daisy shows her a photo of the freebie wedding dress she’s managed to find.

Unfortunately for Daisy, becoming an increasingly prominent figure has its downsides as her stalker ordeal picks up a pace.

She receives several messages on her phone from Justin (former Hollyoaks star Andrew Still) asking why she blocked him.

Daisy immediately deletes the messages, clearly worried and, in later scenes, opens up to Glenda Shuttleworth, admitting Justin is proving to be a pest.

Glenda (Jodie Prenger) encourages Daisy to talk to Daniel about her situation before taking it up to Christina and Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews).

Can the women really help Daisy?

Although preoccupied for her own safety, and after having blocked Justin online, Daisy gleefully posts on social media – without making sure her location remains secret.

While at the wedding fair, which Daniel fails to attend, she shares a selfie, unaware there’s a poster in the background.

She soon realises her mistake as she tries on a wedding dress.

The owner of the stall tells her that her fiancé has arrived and Daisy is mortified when she finds Justin, who reveals he saw her selfie online.

Things go from bad to worse when it’s clear Justin is convinced they’re engaged and she threatens to call the police.

Later on in the Rovers, Daisy finally explains the ordeal to Daniel… before Glenda emerges with a funeral arrangement of flowers for her.

Daisy assumes they must be from Justin and her fear grows.

Again, Justin goes the extra mile when he comes face to face with Daisy and Daniel.

He promptly jumps in his delivery van and roars off.

But Daniel has had enough of him terrorising his other half and, after spotting him on the Street, he warns him to stay away from Daisy.

A deluded Justin, instead, tells Daisy that he’s prepared to back off to give her time to break the news to Daniel that she doesn’t love him any more.

Once again, Daisy shows no hint of good judgement when she posts another selfie to show off a sample wedding invitation, giving Justin every opportunity to crash the ceremony…

What does Justin have planned for Daisy?

George is happy to see Eileen return to the cobbles

2. A Corrie legend returns

No.11 was left in the care of George Shuttleworth, Todd Grimshaw, Mary Taylor and Sean Tully when Corrie legend Eileen Grimshaw was surprised with a trip to Thailand by her son Jason.

The character portrayed by Sue Cleaver left during the festive season while, off-screen, the iconic actress jetted off to Australia to take part in the latest series of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

This week, Eileen returns from her trip and Mary, George, Todd and Sean welcome her home.

Eileen presents her other son Todd (portrayed by Gareth Pierce) with some boxing gloves from Thailand.

She insists he and George give them a go, unaware that her return to Weatherfield will be tainted by a serious mishap.

George obliges and strikes Todd… accidentally cracking his tooth.

Later on, Sean (Antony Cotton) and his boyfriend Laurence (Robert Shaw Cameron) find Todd nursing the tooth.

This prompts the Underworld machinist to book him an appointment with Laurence – but how will Todd react?

Todd and Laurence have somewhat of a rocky history.

Could their time together trigger another disagreement between them?

Nick is worried about Damon’s influence on Sam

3. Nick gets troubling news

Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) recently took it upon himself to confront Harvey Gaskell behind bars, despite his father’s disapproval.

In scenes due on ITV, it seems Sam has toughened up, particularly when his bully Conny approaches him in the school corridor.

She’s shocked to see him stand up to her – but the situation escalates abruptly.

Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) takes a call from Sam’s school, informing the youngster was involved in a fight.

Sam faces the consequences of his actions and explains that he received some advice from shady newcomer Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths).

Nick is furious… and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is soon told why.

Leanne has taken a liking to Damon

4. Leanne makes shock discovery

Prior to this, Nick and Leanne set up the Bistro for a Boozy Night event.

Damon tells them that he’ll fetch his DJ kit, believing it’s important for him to create the right vibe.

But Nick is deeply concerned when he sees him showing his son Sam how to use his DJ equipment.

He is even more annoyed to find Damon discussing new business ideas for the Bistro with Leanne when he arrives home.

The restaurant is fully booked, prompting Leanne to call Damon to tell they could do with an extra pair of hands.

Damon heads behind the bar as Nick watches him from afar with growing unease.

To make matters worse, Damon later flirts with Dee-Dee Bailey, leaving Nick scowling.

Sam asks Damon for some tips on fighting and Damon’s happy to give him advice – which lands the boy straight into trouble, as mentioned above.

In later scenes, Damon tells Nick that he’s expecting a delivery of drugs at the Bistro in the afternoon and it’ll be up to him to deal with it.

When Sam admits he followed Damon’s advice when dealing with Conny, Nick blows up and comes clean.

He soon confesses to Leanne that Damon is Harvey Gaskell’s brother and is using the Bistro for drug deliveries.

How will Leanne react?

Hope is furious following the death of her chinchilla

5. Hope plots evil revenge

Heartbroken after the death of her pet chinchilla, Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) is hellbent on revenge.

This week, she confides in Sam how she intends to have her revenge for Cilla’s murder and needs his help.

The young boy will be doing a lot of her dirty work.

Sam reluctantly agrees to con Maria Connor into handing over Vin-Diesel, the weasel from the barber’s, on Hope’s instructions.

Hope carefully places Vin Diesel’s mouth around the skin of her arm before approaching Peanut and letting out a scream.

Will she get away with it?

A fight almost breaks out in the factory

6. Neighbours get involved

Unfortunately, Hope’s actions has heavy consequences all around the cobbles.

In the Underworld factory, Beth Tinker (Lisa George) tells Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) she’s sorry about Cilla, but at the end of the day, she was only a posh rat.

Fiz is incensed and Carla has to step in before a fight breaks out.

Later on, Beth confronts Hope and the young girl returns home in tears revealing she was slapped her in the face.

Fiz and Tyrone confront Beth over Hope’s allegation.

How far will it go?

David fights for his son Max

7. Max pays the price

Max Turner (Paddy Bever) could do nothing when faced with Griff’s manipulative tactics.

In a short amount of time, the lad was enticed into Griff’s activist group, using his video editing skills to help them spread their racist views throughout Weatherfield.

But things took a turn when Griff and his gang planted a bomb in the cobbles as Maria Connor’s Peace Market was underway.

It’s since become clear that Max will also have to endure the consequences, although he was groomed by Griff.

Initially arrested for incitement to murder in recent Corrie scenes, Max’s charges are escalated to Encouragement of Terrorism due to his propaganda videos.

His father, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) is at the end of his rope when Max’s solicitor breaks the news to him via email.

The barber turns to his mother Gail (Helen Worth) and uncle Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce).

Later on, Max’s solicitor, Harriet, calls at No.8 to discuss her plan for the youngster’s defence.

She tells David that, in her view, Max was groomed by Griff, making him a victim of the dodgy character’s plan.

David is pleased to have her on board and promises to find the money for her fees.

But getting Max the best possible defence will be tricky for David.

Can he raise the funds for his son?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
