Suki Panesar has been keeping a low profile following her secret romance with Eve Unwin. But as she's pushed back into the spotlight next week in EastEnders, it's clear the businesswoman is keeping a health battle to herself.

Is Suki's life on the line?

The businesswoman recently put an end to her affair with Eve Unwin. But is she keeping another secret from her loved ones?

When she first arrived in Albert Square in early 2020, Suki Panesar (portrayed by Balvinder Sopal) failed to make many friends as she lied about suffering from terminal ovarian cancer. Since then, the owner of the Minute Mart has made sure her enemies in Walford know what she's capable of, although a softer side of her personality was introduced to BBC One viewers when she fell for Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).

Despite their strong attraction and fans being keen to see them together, Suki put an end to their relationship out of fear for her husband Nish.

Jealousy and fainting spells

But when she finds out Eve is getting friendly with another woman next week, Suki feels jealous. Later on, the pair of women have an awkward encounter in the Minute Mart but just as Eve is about to leave, Suki faints.

Suki dismisses her husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry) and son Vinny's (Shiv Jalota) worries after her dizzy spell, insisting she is fine to work. Yet she can't get rid of Eve as easily – at the Minute Mart, she forces Suki to see the doctors.

Vinny's efforts to help

In later scenes, Vinny tries to encourage his mum to open up about her feelings, but Suki turns cold on him and demands he keep out of her personal life and show her some respect. Vinny retaliates with a different approach and convinces Suki to attend a pamper session at Fox & Hair after she finally opens up about her low mood.

At the salon, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) gives Suki a head massage and makes a shocking discovery. Could there be more to Suki's condition than she lets on?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
