Victoria beings to put two and two together by turning her sights on Bob and Bernice
The character played by Isabel Hodgins becomes suspicious next week on ITV when she picks up on the banter between Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles).
Both Bob and Bernice went into business together when they bought the B&B from Eric Pollard and they almost immediately began to squabble as they failed to make their venture a success.
However, a wine tasting led to them almost kissing but they agreed to sweep it all under the rug and act like nothing has happened.
Unfortunately for them, Victoria sees right through their lies and she casts her aspersions to a panicking Bob.
Bernice is then furious to overhear Bob, grasping for an excuse, tell Victoria how Bernice is still in love with her former fiancé Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
Before long, Victoria calls round to tell Liam that Bernice still has a massive crush on him.
Yet Victoria is shocked by his dishevelled look and Wendy Posner’s (Susan Cookson) handbag on the sofa raises her suspicions.
Victoria eventually puts two and two together, realising Wendy is the one having an affair.
She tells the nurse she knows about her romance and Wendy implores her to keep it a secret.
But will Victoria remain quiet for Wendy?
Viewers of the Yorkshire-based program will remember that Wendy has put an end to her affair with Liam and also decided to stop collaborating with him on his next murder mystery story.
However, temptation and jealousy get the best of Wendy next week when Liam takes on Lydia Dingle as his new story editor.
The doctor’s ruse soon works as Wendy is then keen to reprise both their creative endeavour and their affair.
But could it all work against them?
