Having made over 1,700 appearances, he has just signed a new contract to keep him in the cobbles even longer.

Antony Cotton was born in Manchester on August 5, 1975 and is an English actor.

Before he shot to fame in 1999 playing Alexander on Channel 4’s Queer as Folk.

Sean has also appeared in several episodes of Absolutely Fabulous and once had his own ITV chat show, That Antony Cotton Show.

He is best known for playing Sean Tully in Coronation Street since 2003

He is best known for playing Sean Tully on Coronation Street, a role which he has played since 2003.

He’s recently signed a new contract with the long-running ITV soap which means he is not leaving the cobbles any time soon.

“I have just signed a new contract,” the actor told Daily Star. “I’ve always said that if they’re happy for me to be there, then I’m happy to be there. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Admitting that he feels “very lucky” to be working on Corrie, Antony added: “Nowadays, some work is thin on the ground. I am very lucky to be in a job.”

When is Coronation Street on TV?

Coronation Street usually airs on Mondays and Wednesdays 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

The TV series has an hour long episode at 7.30 on Fridays on ITV.
