Brendan Cole suggests professional dancers don't leave by choice

Brendan Cole, a former professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, has asserted that his former colleagues are eager to remain on the show each year. Cole, who participated in the competition from its inception in 2004 until 2018, believes that if a professional dancer departs, it's not because they want to.

Pros motivated by job security and exposure

Cole argues that the opportunity to gain exposure and secure work is a significant factor that keeps professional dancers on the show. He states, "At the end of the season, you know that you are getting exposure. You know that from exposure, you get work and for work, you get money." He also highlights that unless they receive an exceptional offer elsewhere, it is unlikely that they would voluntarily leave.

Uncertainty looms for professionals

Cole hints that his former colleagues may face uncertainty if show producers decide to shake things up before the next series. He speculates, "Maybe the producers will have ideas to the contrary to mix it up a little bit. One never knows what is going on behind the scenes."

Gorka Marquez's future on the show in doubt

Following the departure of Gorka Marquez and his partner Nikita Kanda, who became the second pairing to leave the competition this year, fans have begun to speculate about Marquez's future on the show. Many viewers believe he may choose to quit.

After leaving Strictly in 2018, Brendan Cole participated in The X Factor: Celebrity, where he teamed up with former Hollyoaks actor Jeremy Edwards. Unfortunately, the duo did not progress to the live shows.
