FORMER Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan, reached out to fans to thank them for their generosity after he faced homelessness.

James and wife, fellow Strictly professional, Ola Jordan shared that they were left in unfortunate circumstances earlier this week due to an uncomfortable meeting with a landlord.

The Jordans had been in the process of securing a home to rent when a “rude” landlord “spoke down” to the couple, leaving them without a home.

James shared the incident on social media, explaining: “We are currently in the process of moving and need to move into rented accommodation for about six months. We found a rental property we liked and went this morning to meet the landlord.

“I have never been spoken to so rudely! Especially in front of Ola and Ella.

“It was almost like it was a setup. I hope no-one out there has experienced this with a landlord.

“He spoke down to us from the minute I shook his hand.

“Currently homeless. Anyone want to take Ola, Ella and myself for Christmas?”

James took to Instagram to share that the story had a happy ending on Friday and thanked the countless fans who reached out with support and offers of their own homes to stay.

Chatting on Instagram stories he said, “Hi guys, I hope you’re well. I haven’t been on here for a little while. As many of you are aware, we are currently trying to move home.

“We didn’t have anywhere to go because the rental property we were gonna move into didn’t work out for several reasons. We have now finally found somewhere else.

“But I wanted to come on here just to say thank you so much. I must have had 1000s upon 1000s of messages of amazing people out there offering their help offering for us to come and live with them from Ireland, Scotland everywhere, which is really, really nice.

“And I just wanted to come on here to say thank you very much,” he continued, before quipping: “And there were even the odd guys saying that they were happy to take Ola but unfortunately didn’t have space for myself and Ella.”

The couple rose to fame as dance professionals on the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing but left in 2013 and 2015.

They have both since each appeared on an array of reality shows respectively, including Dancing on Ice – where James was crowned winner of the ITV ice-skating competition – I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Strictly’s full monty and Total wipeout.

In June the family put their five-bedroom home in Kent up for sale for £2.5million, leaving them in search of a rental property.
