Fans of the popular show Strictly Come Dancing have expressed their outrage and accused the judges of being involved in a fix, claiming that they are consistently under marking one of the competing stars. The latest episode saw the remaining six celebrities perform in hopes of securing a spot in Musicals Week.

Angela Scanlon voted off the show

Unfortunately, Angela Scanlon found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard with 31 points and was voted off the show during Sunday night's results show. She was in the dance off against West End star Layton Williams, and the judges chose to save Layton, who had scored 34 points, two places above Angela. Nigel Harman, another contestant, had received 33 points.

Controversy over Nigel Harman's scores

Despite Nigel Harman being saved from the dance off by viewer votes, many Strictly fans were furious over the judges' scores for his Rumba with pro partner Katya Jones. Nigel received three 8's and a nine, but fans believed that his performance deserved higher marks. Some fans even accused the judges of intentionally under marking Nigel in order to keep him in the bottom two.

One viewer took to social media to express their frustration, saying, "So pleased Nigel's through to next week, more viewers seeing judges tactics so obvious now to see. He was ridiculously undermarked last night even though he was only one without mistake mentions, just so they could keep him in bottom two."

Another fan argued, "Nigel and Katya were undermarked. They deserved at least a couple of 9's. That was a beautiful Rumba and Nigel danced it beautifully."

The controversy surrounding Nigel's scores has left fans questioning why he is consistently undermarked compared to other contestants.

Looking ahead to Musicals Week, one fan speculated on social media, "I wonder how tempted Katya is to choose 'Don't Rain on My Parade' (Funny Girl) for musicals week for them next week, may as well embrace the judges' ridiculous tactics now towards Nigel."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
