The hit BBC One dancing competition, Strictly Come Dancing, continued on Saturday night as the remaining celebrities battled for a place in the quarter-finals.
Judges Unconvinced Despite Steamy Routine
Viewers watched as Nigel Harman and Katya Jones put on a saucy display, with fans thinking they "almost kissed". However, the judges, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood, weren't convinced by their performance. They were also convinced that former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and her partner Vito Coppola also had a near-miss moment.
Judges' Criticism
During the judging, Anton told the pair that their routine was clean and quick, with magnificent tricks. However, he felt that it lacked a bit of intensity at one point. Craig agreed with Anton, stating that he didn't think it lacked intensity, but rather intimacy. He felt that the Argentine Tango didn't look like one due to the lack of intimacy, although he still thought it was incredible.
Fans Furious Over Judges' Comments
Strictly viewers at home were left furious by the judges' comments and took to social media to express their discontent. One fan mentioned that the routine was incredibly intimate, while another suggested replacing Craig as a judge because he constantly finds negatives in performances. Many fans expressed confusion as to why the judges didn't see how amazing the routine was.
Scores and Total Points
While Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas gave Ellie and Vito a perfect score of 10, Craig and Anton scored them a 9, bringing their total to 38 points.
