EAGLE-EYED Strictly viewers noticed the moment that Helen Skelton appeared to make another dig at her ex.

The former Blue Peter presenter took to the ballroom for her couple’s choice dance with her partner Gorka Marquez, which fans have been dubbing her ‘revenge’ dance.

Gemma picked up on the notable moment at home

Fans have labelled the performance a revenge routine

Former contestant and Gorka’s real-life partner, actress Gemma Atkinson, was one of the fans at home who picked up on Helen’s middle finger dig.

During the fiery performance, it appeared as though TV presenter Helen flashed her middle finger during the cabaret routine as the music said: “Bye bye mein liber herr, it was a a fine affair, but now it’s over”.

It appeared to be a well-timed gesture as the lyric appeared to resonate with Helen over her split from Leeds Rhinos ace Richie Myler in April this year.

In the dance, Helen appeared to glide her middle finger down her cheek and Gemma uploaded the moment to her Instagram stories for fans to watch all over again.

The former Emmerdale star wrote: “It was the subtle middle finger for me,” accompanied by a sly face emoji.

The dance has proved to be Helen’s strongest and most talked about of the contest so far with her achieving an almost perfect score of 39, with just Craig Revel Horwood failing to give her a ten.

Taking to Twitter, fans were full of praise for the TV star who they felt had finally got some revenge on her ex, who announced he was expecting a baby with his new girlfriend six months on from their split.

One fan wrote online: “Helen went from a cute, charismatic kids presenter to a powerful, confident woman who just said a massive f*** you to her slimy ex on one of the biggest shows on national TV. What a woman. I cannot get over it.”

Another expressed: “That was Helen’s f**k you dance wasn’t it.”

While a third fan enthused: “Helen getting the ultimate revenge on her slimey ex by sl**ting it up on national telly with Gorka in a corset. Iconic behaviour. 10/10.”

In the VT before her dance, Helen fought back tears as she commented on how important family was to her.

Getting teary-eyed, Helen said: “My family is everything to me…everything.”

Earlier this year, in an emotional social media post, Helen said: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children.”

She ended the post with two broken heart emojis.

Helen and Richie wed in 2013 and have three young children, Ernie, six, Louis, five and Elsie Kate, four months.

Richie plays as a scrum-half and fullback for Leeds Rhinos, as well as for England on an international level.
