Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden couldn't hold back her tears as she rang the bell to mark the end of her chemotherapy session in the hospital.

Emotional Moment

Amy, 33, shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, capturing the emotional moment as she was surrounded by the doctors and nurses who have been treating her.

In May, the Welsh star revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. After undergoing a mastectomy, she received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to other parts of her body.

Bravely, Amy began chemotherapy treatment and recently made the difficult decision to shave her hair.

Sharing Her Journey

Throughout her cancer battle, Amy has been sharing her journey on social media. In her caption, she expressed her gratitude for reaching this milestone and reflected on the challenges she has faced.

Despite the physical and mental toll, Amy acknowledged the strength she has discovered within herself. She also thanked the Sheldon oncology unit, as well as her family and friends, for their unwavering support.

Amy's journey is not yet over, as she awaits an MRI to determine if more surgery is needed. However, she celebrated the end of her chemotherapy journey by ringing the bell.

Return to Dancing

Although Amy had to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing due to her illness, she made a surprise appearance on the show last month. Fans were delighted to see her on the dance floor, cheering her on.
