Amy Dowden, professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, was seen in Blackpool just days after suffering another health blow. Amy had to pull out of the competition due to being diagnosed with breast cancer, and this week she revealed that she has also broken her foot. However, she seemed in high spirits as she joined her co-stars in Blackpool for the annual Strictly special at the Tower Ballroom.

Amy Dowden arrived at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom with a smile on her face, despite her recent health setbacks. She added some glitter to her plastic walking aid, showing her determination to enjoy the occasion.

Amy, dressed in a black sparkly blazer suit, looked stunning as she made her way to the Tower Ballroom. Her outfit was complemented by her orthopaedic boot, which was decorated with silver rhinestones.
Fractured foot ends Strictly plans
Amy shared the "heartbreaking" news on Instagram that she will no longer be able to appear in the remaining episodes of Strictly due to her fractured foot. She expressed her disappointment and said that dancing in the Strictly Ballroom this year is no longer possible.
Still making appearances on the show
Although she can't participate in the competition, Amy has still made several appearances on the latest series of Strictly. In October, she surprised fans when she arrived on the show in a sparkly gown to read the terms and conditions. She also revealed that she decided to ditch her wig and "brave the bald" just moments before her surprise appearance.
Overcoming breast cancer
Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and underwent a mastectomy in July. She later had to undergo chemotherapy after doctors discovered that the cancer had spread. On November 9, 2023, she celebrated completing all eight rounds of chemotherapy.
Despite her health setbacks, Amy Dowden continues to inspire with her resilience and positive attitude.
