UBISOFT Drops Bombshell Announcement

Assassin’s Creed fans were left stunned after UBISOFT, the company behind the popular game series, revealed that a significant number of games will be going offline. While players have been given a few months' notice, the games' features will soon be gone for good.

Which Games Are Affected?

Starting from January 24, 2023, players will no longer be able to access the online features of the following Assassin's Creed games:

  • Assassin’s Creed 2 – Xbox
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood – Mac PC
  • Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD – Xbox and PlayStation
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations – PC

Players who already own these games will still be able to enjoy the single-player mode, but online features, including multiplayer and Ubisoft account connectivity, will be disabled.

More Than Just Assassin's Creed

It's not just the Assassin's Creed series that will be affected. Games like Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Splinter Cell Conviction, and others that heavily rely on their multiplayer component will also have their playability significantly limited after January.

Completionists Beware

The upcoming changes are especially important for completionists who strive to unlock all trophies and achievements. Some games have specific trophies and achievements that can only be obtained by playing online, making it crucial for players to act before the servers shut down.

Grab Those Trophies While You Can

Despite the impending server shutdown, there is still time to secure those elusive trophies. With several months left, players can make a final push to attain any online-based achievements.
