INDIANA Jones and the Dial of Destiny is just around the corner, and the hype around Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game is growing.

The desire for a new video game of the legendary archaeologist is growing day by day.

This is one of the few shots we have of the upcoming Indiana Jones game.

Its release is probably a long way away, but new documents have given us more details than ever before.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Bethesda Indiana Jones game.

What we already knew – Indiana Jones

The Indiana Jones game doesn’t have a name yet, but we first saw a teaser in January 2021.

However, it skipped the Xbox June Showcase, and we’ve not seen it for two and a half years at this point.

Todd Howard, who is currently working on Starfield, is the executive producer and has said it will be a “mash-up” of different genres.

What kind of game will it be? – Indiana Jones

When we hear Indiana Jones we expect action adventure, but this has not been revealed yet.

According to Howard, it will be “unique: it’s not just one thing, intentionally.

“So it does a lot of different things that myself and the guys at Machine Games wanted to do in a game. So it’s unique.”

Machine Games developed Wolfenstein: The New Order and The New Colossus, so we expect it to be in first-person.

What we know about the story – Indiana Jones

We know that the game will have a completely new story, not told before in the movies or games.

Part of it will be set in 1937, and a map seen in the teaser has led us to believe this will take part in Vatican City.

This means that the story likely takes place between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade.

The story will start, “at the height of the famous adventurer’s career.”

The teaser trailer also confirmed locations such as Egypt, Peru, and Mesopotamia.

What consoles will Indiana Jones be released on?– Indiana Jones

We have found out more about the release of the Indiana Jones game from the Microsoft/Activision trial at the FTC.

Phil Spencer confirmed that he wants Indiana Jones to be for Xbox what Spider-Man is for PlayStation.

It seems that Indiana Jones will now be an Xbox console exclusive, and will also release on PC.

Indiana Jones will also be available on Game Pass for console, PC and cloud on day one.

Disney’s involvement – Indiana Jones

Emails shown during the trial show that Disney will be keeping a keen eye on Indiana Jones’ development.

As with Star Wars games, Disney is providing “tons of feedback” and this “adds tons of time to the schedule.”

Bethesda also has “a time window in which it will have to launch the game.”

The summary is that, compared to what happens with original IPs like Starfield, the developer and publisher of The Elder Scrolls has much less control over this title.

This means they have to make proposals, wait for them to be accepted, and tweak things based on those responses.
