THIS week in Pokémon Go brings some interesting changes to the game.

The Festival of Colour ends this week as the game prepares for Slowpoke Community Day.

Rising Heroes is the current season.

A Pokémon will have a shiny debut, and a popular starter is the focus of Spotlight Hour.

Here’s everything that’s happening in Pokémon Go from March 13 to March 19.

Rowlett takes the spotlight

This week’s Spotlight Hour will take place on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 6pm local time.

Rowlett will appear more commonly during Spotlight Hour, partnering with the Scarlet and Violet Decidueye raid later in the week.

Rowlett is a three-stage evolution, making this the perfect opportunity to get Decidueye in Pokémon Go.

You’ll also earn double XP for any Pokémon you evolve during this hour, even if it’s not Rowlett or Dartrix.

Ho-Oh continues to storm raids

Raid Hour will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 6pm local time.

Unusually, Ho-Oh will remain the target of five-star raids for another week, and will be the Pokémon available during Raid Hour.

Mega Medicham will also remain the target of mega raids for another week.

This is also the day that the Festival of Colour event ends.

Psychic types take the Go Battle League

Go Battle League will change on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 9pm UK time.

The Great League will change to the Ultra League with a maximum CP of 2.5k.

Since the Festival of Colour has finished, the Colour Cup will change to the Psychic Cup.

As the name suggests, only Psychic-types are allowed to enter with a CP limit of 1.5k.

There is only one exclusion for this cup, the mythical Pokémon Mew.

Slowpoke crawl into Community Day

The Community Day will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2pm until 5pm UK time.

Slowpoke will be the focus of this month’s Community Day, and both Galarian and Kantonian Slowpoke will be available.

This is also the debut for shiny Galarian Slowpoke, which is exciting for shiny hunters.

Slowpoke can evolve into either Slowbro or Slowking, and one evolved around the time of the event will come with the special move Surf.
