PHOTOS leaked on a Chinese forum suggest that a special edition Nintendo Switch OLED console will be released for the upcoming game Tears of the Kingdom.

While the images appear to be authentic, no official statement has been released.

The console spotted online.

Nintendo often releases special edition consoles to celebrate the launch of its biggest games.

Special edition Nintendo Switch OLED consoles have already been released for Splatoon 3 and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Tears of the Kingdom, the long-awaited sequel to Breath of the Wild, will launch on May 12, 2023.

More details about the game such as its rating and online functionality are being released as we approach its launch.

If the images are legitimate, the console will feature a white dock with gold patterning.

The back of the console itself will have the same pattern printed on the back in a shiny black finish.

Finally, the console will include special gold and green Zelda-themed Joy-Con.

Like previous special edition console releases by Nintendo, the images show that the Zelda console will not come with the game.

This means that if the pictured console is real, players will have to purchase the game separately.

Tears of the Kingdom was voted the most highly-anticipated release of 2023 at The Game Awards.

It is said to have a bigger world than Breath of the Wild and a new storyline.

While Nintendo has not officially revealed the special edition console, consoles have leaked online in the past before their announcement.

As Tears of the Kingdom is predicted to be one of the best selling games of the year, it seems likely that a special console will accompany its release.

We’ll have to wait for official word from Nintendo to find out more.
