You can bag the original version of Witcher, as will as the hugely popular Civilisation 6.

The Witcher is an iconic action RPG that came out in 2007.

It’s based on the same series of fantasy books that inspired the recent hit Netflix series The Witcher.

Players control Geralt of Rivia, a travelling monster hunter with supernatural powers – who dispatches troublesome creatures in exchange for coin.

The game is available to download over at GOG.com.

You’ll need to download Gwent for free to claim your copy of The Witcher Enhanced Edition

First, go and download Gwent – a card game from The Witcher universe that’s been spun off as a standalone title.

Once you’ve started downloading the game, you’ll be eligible to download The Witcher.

You can delete Gwent later on if you don’t want it taking up storage space – but it’s a popular game in its own right.

You’ll also need to subscribe to the GOG.com newsletter.

The Civilisation games are a must-have for fans of the strategy genre

How to get Civilisation 6 for free

Sid Meier’s Civilisation 6 is the latest in a long-running series of successful turn-based 4X strategy games.

Just like in previous Civilisation titles, players are tasked with developing a civilisation.

You start from a very early settlement, but your civilisation grows far more advanced as the millennia go by.

Victory is attained by becoming a world power, achieving military, technological or cultural domination over human or rival foes.

You can build your civilisation from a tiny settlement into a technologically superpower

Reviews for the game were largely positive, with a Metacritic score of 88/100 on PC.

It also won Best PC Game and Best Strategy Game at the 2016 Game Critics Awards.

The game is available completely free of charge over at the Epic Games Store.

That’s not bad considering it only came out in 2016, and normally costs £49.99.

You can download it for free here.

Once you “claim” the game, it’s yours to keep – and you don’t need to download it immediately either.

So even if you don’t plan to play right now, it’s worth claiming the title before the offer expires.

The free period ends on May 28 at 4pm, so don’t miss out.
