Fans think Angela Scanlon could be behind the costume

Angela is an Irish TV star, well known for fronting The One Show.

Tomato Sauce performed to Irish girl band B*Witched’s track C’est La Vie and showed off some impressive Irish dancing skills.

Angela was in fact a member of the O’Shea Irish Dance Company before finding fame, so many think the dancing is a big clue.

The character also made a series of cooking references, which could be a reference to her work on Sunday Brunch.

The naughty tomato teased they put the “sauce into saucy” and were a “staple at meal times”.

Hinting at their ability to get on with anyone, they said “a good sauce can be paired with anything”.

They continued: “Have a squeeze, I won’t judge what you put it on.”

Describing themselves as the “heart of the table” they added “many an important conversation is had while breaking bread.”

They added they were ever humble and wanted to make the world a “more tasteful place”.

Taking to Twitter to debate it’s identity, one person wrote: “Angela Scanlon for Tomato Sauce? #MaskedDancerUK.”

A second added: “Tomato maybe Angela Scanlon. #MaskedDancerUK.”

While a third put two and two together, writing: “Randomly watching @ALOTO and @angelascanlon is on and an ex professional Irish dancer – Tomato Sauce? #MaskedDancerUK.”
