The Masked Dancer First Look: New characters take to the stage as Pig and Pearly King perform tonight

A fresh batch of celebrity contestants will hit the dancefloor for the second episode of The Masked Dancer tonight.

As our first look images of the hit ITV show reveal, six new masked ‘characters’ will perform for the panel, who will attempt to guess their secret identity.

Pearly King also takes to the stage

Tomato Sauce shows them how it’s done

They include Pig, Pearly King, Onomatopoeia, Tomato Sauce, Cactus and Sea Slug.

Host Joel Dommett, who dons an eye-catching pin suit on tonight’s episode, will welcome the next bunch of madcap creations to show off their moods.

It will then be left to see if the judges, Peter Crouch, Davina McCall, Oti Mabuse and Jonathan Ross, can figure out their identities.

Pig will perform a lively routine where they will do the splits in the air as they are held up by dancers.

Meanwhile the lion, Pearly King will bust out some Janet Jackson-style tightly-choreographed moves with an ensemble beside them.

Also tonight, Tomato Sauce will be seen dishing out some high kicks, Cactus performs next to a flamenco dancer, Sea Slug opts for under-the-sea style staging and Onomatopoeia is joined by a pink-haired performer.

Of course, last week it was the turn of Prawn Cocktail, Candlestick, Odd Socks, Scissors, Pillar and Post and Astronaut to flaunt their fancy footwork.

At the end of the episode, US actor and Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe was unmasked as Astronaut.

Since the new series kicked off, there has been plenty of guessing going on across the nation about who is behind each costume.

Among the guesses so far, Scissors has been ‘named’ as everyone from Little Mix singer Jade Thirwall to Drag Race star Courtney Act.

Pillar and Post has also seen a wide range of guesses.

Strictly Couple Ben Cohen and Kristina Rihanoff have been in the frame, as have Dancing On Ice legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

ITV confirmed yesterday that The Masked Dancer and The Voice UK would both still air tonight after schedule changes in recent days following the sad passing of the Queen.
