THE MASKED DANCER has returned to our screens for a second series – and the crazy costumes are bigger and better than ever.
Moon walking their way into the cast of the new series was Astronaut.
Who is The Masked Dancer UK’s Astronaut?
The Masked Dancer season 2 introduced Astronaut to the competition.
And it was up to the star judges to try and guess just who the spaceman really was.
But the astronauts time on the show was short and sweet – after the judges chose the space star to remove their mask in the first episode of the new series.
And the celebrity panel couldn’t believe their eyes when the famous face behind the crazy costume crazy costume was unveiled.
Desperate Housewives and US actor Jesse Metcalfe was revealed as the man behind the mask – and everyone went wild.
Speaking about his time on the show, Jesse said: “I thought it would be fun. Dancing is something that really intimidates me and it was a fear I wanted to face.
“This has been unbelievable, it’s one of the most zany things I’ve ever done in my career but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself.”
How does The Masked Dancer work?
Just like the The Masked Singer, each week the acts perform a dance routine in an elaborate costume, with the aim of keeping their identity a secret.
As well as performing, each contestant will reveal cryptic clues as to their identity before they dance – and its up to the judges to decipher the clues to uncover the celeb.
But their voices will be disguised to throw viewers and the judging panel off the scent.
As the show is pre-recorded the studio audience gets to vote for their favourite, but once it’s whittled down to the final two, the judges alone choose who they want to be unmasked.

There are 12 acts who join Astronaut in taking part in season 2.
Each week they will perform a fabulous dance routine, that could be a clue to who they are.
