Born on February 23, 1984, James Bye is a soap star and film actor.
The 38-year-old took over the role of Martin Fowler on EastEnders in 2014, and has been involved in a number of dramatic storylines.
Away from Walford, he has appeared in a number of movies.
His film credits include Cemetery Junction in 2010, The Great Train Robbery in 2013, and The Hooligan Factory in 2014.

The pair reportedly met in a Sainsbury’s car park 16 years ago when Bye was working on a promotion job and “handed Victoria a fruit jelly”, according to What to Watch.

Talking of the reaction of his wife Victoria, James added the decision for him to star had been a “team effort.”
He added: “She is really supportive – we talked it all through and it’s a decision we have made together.
“She’s going to be part of the team.”
However, on October 30, 2022, he became the fifth contestant to be eliminated from the show.
The actor proclaimed that he had made a “friend for life” in his dance partner Amy Dowden as he exited the competition.
He said: “I had the best time on the show, I’ve got a friend for life, all I can do is thank the family.”
