THE Canadian island where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently living has been hit by an earthquake.
The magnitude 4.5 quake was detected off the west coast of Vancouver Island on Friday afternoon, according to Earthquakes Canada.
The couple have been living there after they said they will split their time between the UK and North America.
The pair are expected to move to Canada part-time.
They spent a six-week Christmas holiday in greater Victoria, on Vancouver Island, where they were spotted hiking in the woods, according to Canadian media.
The tremor was reportedly felt by people across Metro Vancouver.
The earthquake struck at 1.35 pm, 22 miles south-southwest of Bamfield.
It comes weeks after a stronger 6.3 magnitude quake struck the same area on Christmas Day.
According to Earthquakes Canada, there are currently no reports of any damage. No tsunami was expected from the tremor.
People around Vancouver Island and across Metro Vancouver reported feeling the quake.
Harry flew back to the island this week following his time in the UK after the Royal summit to discuss his stepping back from royal duties.
Harry, 35, will stop being paid for royal duties in the spring after quitting his role but is expected to make millions from commercial tie-ups to the Sussex Royal brand he is building with Meghan, 38.
The couple were last planning their money-spinning non-royal future behind closed doors at the 11 million Vancouver Island mansion owned by a mystery pal.
We recently revealed the couple will have at least six 100,000-a-time taxpayer-funded British protection officers while living in Canada.
Brits will still be forced to foot the bill for the couple’s security despite them moving abroad after quitting the Royal Family.
The couple will use 60,000-a-year protection officers, who will be paid overtime and sent back to the UK to be replaced every two weeks.
Experts say this will cost at least 100,000-a-year per officer once flights, pension and living expenses are taken into account, the Daily Mail reports.
Harrywas yesterday snapped getting off a plane in Canada to finally be reunited withMeghanand baby son Archie as they prepare to enjoy a new life together away from the royals.
But it appeared he still had some luxuries afforded to a royal – including the army of Metropolitan Police officers.
