THIS week Meghan Markle stunned at the One Young World summit at the Royal Albert Hall in a beautiful purple 29 Aritzia dress.

It was the first appearance she had made since her explosive ITV documentary aired on Sunday, and some have said that her colour choice was sending a secret message.

In the emotional documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, the Duchess of Sussex, 38, looked close to tears as she revealed she is struggling as a new mum in the spotlight.

The colour of Meghans dress on Tuesday was a bold purple, which has been associated with royalty for years.

Typically only the elite could afford the expensive dye that produced garments in the colour.

During the Queens coronation in 1953, purple was prominent in the official portraits taken.

By opting to wear the striking colour this week, Meghan has sent a subtle message that she belongs in the family and is not going anywhere.

The Aritzia dress, which initially cost 81 but has now been reduced to 29, was first seen onMeghanwhile she was pregnant with Archie in January.

At that time Meghan had joined Prince Harry to visit Birkenhead, and had paired the vibrant frock with bright red accessories.

The dress from the Canadian brand has since become victim of the so-called Meghan effect and has sold out in every size, but fans can still get hold of the black version.

On the documentary, the mum-of-one, who gave birth to Archie in May said she feels like she is “existing not living”.

The documentary delves into the effect intensemedia scrutiny has had on former actress Meghan and how the couple are “buckling” under pressure.

In a preview clip of the programme,Meghanrevealed her new royal life has been “a struggle” adding: “Not many people have asked if I’m OK.”

She replies to a question about her physical and mental health by describing the recent difficulties she’s gone through since becoming a royal and new mum to baby Archie.

Meghan says: “Look, any woman, especially when they are pregnant, you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging.

“And then when you have a new born, you know… And especially as a woman, it’s a lot.

“So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed it’s, well…”

She has now receiveda huge outpouring of support from more than 70,000 fans with the hashtag “WeLoveYouMeghan” the top trend on Twitter.
