Heinz, the renowned tin can connoisseurs, have unveiled their latest creation – 'Cheesy Beanz'. In a partnership with cheese maker Cathedral City, Heinz has added cheese to their classic baked beans to create a unique and divisive flavor combination. The new Cheesy Beanz will be hitting store shelves on February 21, but a limited edition run of 500 cans will be available on Heinz' website on Valentine's Day.

Alessandra de Dreuille, Director of Meals and Insights from Heinz, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, "We know Brits absolutely love pairing beanz with cheese and so we're thrilled to finally announce our partnership with Cathedral City." She added, "Whether you're celebrating with your friends, partner, family, or even your pets, you can be sure to find love with Heinz Cheesy Beanz."
Beans and cheese – a match made in culinary heaven
A recent study by Heinz revealed that baked beans are a staple in the diets of many Brits, with a quarter of the population enjoying them more than once a week. Notably, two-thirds of baked bean fans prefer to top their beans with cheese. Additionally, the study found that two-thirds of bean lovers enjoy them on a jacket potato, while 58% prefer them on toast. Other popular ways to enjoy baked beans include with chips (37%) and in a toastie (28%). Only 15% of Brits like their beans in a pasty.

Heinz is no stranger to introducing unique flavors and products to the market. Last year, they launched Vindaloo, Tikka, and Jalfrezi-flavored Beanz as limited editions to celebrate National Curry Week. In addition to baked beans, Heinz also offers Beanz Filled Hash Browns and Heinz Beanz Pizza.
