NANDO’S fans can now get their hands on its Peri-Peri chicken for less as the fast-food chain has slashed prices thanks to a VAT cut.
The spicy chicken specialist says it’ll cut prices across its food and drinks menu, excluding alcoholic drinks which aren’t subject to the VAT reduction.
Nando’s currently has 360 restaurants across the UK open for home delivery and online click and collect orders, while it recently opened a further ten for its eat-in service.
It says today’s price drop will take force across eat-in, delivery and online click and collect orders.
It comes as VAT is slashed from 20 per cent to 5 per cent for businesses in the hospitality and tourism industries across the UK under measures first announced in chancellor Rishi Sunak’s mini-Budget last week.
Example of Nando’s price cuts include the following menu items:
- Halloumi sticks and dip starter was £3.95 now £3.45
- ¼ PERi-PERi chicken on its own was £4.25, now £3.70, with 2 regular sides was £7.75, now £6.75
- ½ PERi-PERi chicken on its own was £7.70, now £6.75, with 2 regular sides was £11.20, now £9.80
- 10 PERi-PERi chicken wing roulette was £10.95, now £9.60
- Family platter of 2 whole chickens and 5 large sides, was £43.70, now £38.25
KFC, McDonald’s and Wetherspoons are among the other high street chains to pass on VAT savings to customers.
