JEDWARD are pulling a Taylor Swift by re-recording their biggest hit Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) after accusing Simon Cowell of destroying their “legacy” by deleting it from the internet.

The track, a mash-up of Queen’s Under Pressure and Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby, went to No2 for John and Edward Grimes in 2010 after they appeared on the X Factor.

But they claim Simon, 60, and Sony Music which released the song have got rid of it from streaming services and deleted the video from YouTube – despite the Irish twins claiming it’s a key piece of “pop culture.”

The brothers, 28, have not heard back after hitting out at the music mogul and are now determined to re-record it, as Taylor Swift is currently doing after US entrepreneur Scooter Braun bought the rights to her back catalogue.

They told HOAR: “We have not heard anything.

“It’s just so disheartening it feels like we have lost a piece of what makes us Jedward.

“We aren’t going to be silenced!

“We are making plans to re-record it with Vanilla Ice or Niall Horan because he knows all the lyrics.”

The brothers have accused Simon Cowell and Sony Music of removing their track from the internet

They first criticised Simon and Sony last week in a tweet which was reposted more than 1,800 times.

Jedward wrote: “Yo @SimonCowell and @SonyMusicUK why have you removed our Iconic first single Under Pressure Ice Ice Baby from all streaming platforms and deleted the official music video?

“That’s our legacy! We’re outraged, it’s part of pop culture! We demand a response!”

Jedward, who have just released new single Taste the Heat, finished sixth on the 2009 series of X Factor before representing Ireland twice at the Eurovision Song Contest and releasing four studio albums.

During their time on the ITV competition, Simon referred to them as “vile little creatures.”
