DANCING On Ice stars Hannah Spearritt is said to “lack compatibility” with their pro partner, according to a body language expert.

Hannah – who is partnered with pro skater Andy Buchanan – seem to be “clashing” behind closed doors and do not seem to have a “strong connection”.

Hannah Spearritt and pro Andy appear to be ‘clashing’ says a body language expert

They said they couple seem to have a ‘lack of trust’ and an ‘obvious distance’

Body language expert Darren Stanton explained that the duo appear to lack genuine chemistry on and off the ice, which could impact her in the long-run.

“Hannah was gutted with how her first performance went. She was completely devastated,” Darren told Betfair Casino.

“I think she had a lot of confidence beforehand and now it will be hard for her to recover.

“She has a strong work ethic and won’t want to give up easily.”

The expert added: “However, when we look at her body language with Andy, it doesn’t show me that they have a strong connection.

“Hannah is definitely the more dominant one of the pairing, but as Andy will be mentoring her, this could see them clashing.

“I couldn’t see any strong eye contact, there was no reciprocal liking and there was an obvious distance between them.

“This tells me there is a lack of trust within the partnership, but it’s only early days.”

Darren has predicted Adele Roberts and Mark Hanretty as potential winners of the show as they are “flawless”, while being “completely connected” with one another.

But Miles Nazaire and Vanessa Bauer aren’t far behind with having the potential to compete “until the very end”, as they “just click” with each other.

He added that they developed a “strong trust” from day one, which is displayed through their every move.

Darren also revealed that Claire Sweeney and Colin Grafton are “the couple to watch”, with them being in the top four couples of highest compatibility.

He said: “I have been critical of Claire as I feel she is holding back a bit from her full potential in the competition. But I think if she allows herself to trust Colin a little bit more, she could really go far and be one of the last celebrities.

“It could see them go to the next level.

“Claire shows a lot of passion and enthusiasm towards learning and developing her skills as a skater, as well as a dancer.

“Claire and Colin have a strong connection at this stage. Claire’s nerves do creep in from time to time. They may not be the strongest couple right now, but they do work well together as a team and they have each other’s backs.

“When we look at their eye contact, it’s engaged and stable, and they have shown reciprocal liking with one another.

“They’re a couple to watch definitely – and if they keep at it, they’ll continue to push forward and support each other.”

However, Darren believes Eddie the Eagle and Vicky Ogden could be the ‘success story’ of this year’s competition, with Eddie’s ‘infectious’ determination to step up to the challenge and prove his place.

He added: “It’s clear Eddie has a lot of trust in Vicky from the way he opens up to her in his movements and embraces every step with her as his guide.

“We also see them mirroring each other’s movements and gestures, which suggests they are learning to be more in sync.

“I believe Eddie and Vicky will surprise the public in the competition if they take on feedback and apply everything they have learned consistently along the way.”
