DANCING on Ice viewers were left fuming tonight after a fan favourite was ‘undermarked’.
Adele Roberts took to the ice with pro skater Mark Hanretty for a breathtaking Matrix themed performance.
The sci-fi thriller was their pick for movie week, and both members of the duo glided through the impressive routine with ease.
Adele and Mark wore matching black leather outfits reminiscent of the costumes from the film.
They finished off the dance by skating up to the panel of judges and putting on a pair of sunglasses with a flourish.
Dancing on Ice fans raced to social media to compliment the radio DJ, with one person called it the “skate of the series”.
But the audience was left disappointed when she only received 29 points for her performance.
One person hit out, saying: “Wtf are them scores on Dancing on Ice, Adele deserved far more!”
Another agreed: “Sorry but Adele deserved a higher score than that.”
A third chimed in: “Great skate and performance by @AdeleRoberts
& @Mark_Hanretty. I think Adele is doing amazing & I think they were undermarked tonight it was a brilliant routine.”
Others shared that Adele is their favourite to win, and they are hopeful that she might break the show’s ‘male winner curse’.
No women have won the frosty competition since Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle in 2013.
Someone reflected: “Adele has so much potential, it’s exciting to finally have a good woman on the show.”
A second added: “Adele’s speed is good too she’s the best woman this year for sure.”
A third hopeful shared: “Lou, Adele and Amber are giving me faith that we’ll break the #DancingOnIce male winner curse this year.”
One less optimistic fan wrote: “Amber, Adele and Lou could legitimately be the top 3 of the series but we all know we’re going to end up with three men instead.”
