DANCING On Ice fans think Amber Davies was overscored for the second week running.

The Love Island turned West End star dazzled when she performed a cha cha cha to Michael Buble‘s Sway with partner Simon Proulx-Senecal.

Fans think Amber was overscored as she topped the leaderboard

Amber and Simon impressed the judges with their routine
Fans claimed Amber was being held up by Simon throughout

She topped the leaderboard with 34, the highest score of the series, besting Miles Nazaire, who held that record for just a few minutes.

Speaking after about the bold routine, Amber said: “I am a bit of a daredevil, my mum and dad had a nightmare with me when I was younger.”

But those watching at home were not impressed and took to X to moan that she didn’t actually do any solo skating.

One person wrote: “It’s crazy how Amber is at the top of the score board with 34.0. She didn’t skate once on her own and the others were way better than her routine. She’s from an itv show why am I not surprised?”

A second said: “Really love Amber & that was a great performance, but I’m struggling to understand how they can score her that high when she didn’t let go of Simon’s hand the entire time? Surely she needs to be skating a bit on her own.”

While a third added: “HOW can they score Ryan lower than Amber?!Skated the whole time on his own, very well too. Amber didn’t leave go of her partners hand once. Judging is shite this year.”

Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney ended up bottom on the leader board, scoring 23.5 after struggling with a sprained rib.

She ended up getting sent home after a skate-off with comedian Lou Sanders.

As a result of her injury she had to make a last-minute change to her burlesque-inspired routine to her own rendition of Hey Big Spender with partner Colin Grafton.

After she told presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern: “I was trying to be sexy with a dodgy rib, but the show must go on, get on with it.”

Amber was praised for her daring routine
