DANCING On Ice fans have complained that the results have been “rigged” to get one star to get to the final.

Last night viewers were left gutted as Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards got the boot.

Dancing On Ice fans said the show is ‘rigged to get Amber Davies to the final’

ITV viewers said Eddie ‘The Eagle’ should have been saved over Amber

The 60-year-old lost out on a place in the final to Amber Davies, 27, after a tense skate off.

But some ITV viewers were quick to brand the show a fix – and said the Love Island star was being “guided” around the ice by her partner, whereas Eddie skated on his own.

Those at home insisted Eddie’s solo dance showed more technical skill that Amber’s performance, and it was a no-brainer who should have left.

One wrote: “Every week Amber has been picked up for not skating alone. In that skate off it was 1 second if that!! How did she get through FFS! Fixed? Do they know the final line up they want already?”

“Dancing On Ice ridiculous Eddie skates by himself Amber gets guided around the ice so fixed,” a second said.

A third commented: “Dancing On Ice…what is the point of this, when it is so blatantly fixed. Eddie Edwards was a far better skater and obviously didn’t fit the demographic of the “winner”. Not sure the “judges” are fit for purpose, other than Oti.”

This unhappy viewer shared: “The panel tonight are a disgrace!!. Totally put off watching anymore of this fixed show. Eddie was far better at skating.”

Another fumed: “This has been fixed since day one for one out of two to win it. Such a shame a brilliant programme ruined by biased judging and favoritism. Not the same since Jason went. We need Karen Barber on that ice panel.”

During the skate off Eddie and his partner Vicky performed a graceful routine to Sir Elton John‘s Rocket Man, and Amber danced a dramatic performance to Little Mix‘s Power.

Judge Oti Mabuse voted to keep Eddie while guest judge Johnny Weir and Jayne Torvill voted for Amber.

As the vote was split, it came down to head judge Christopher Dean, who opted to keep Amber as well, sending Eddie packing.

Eddie opened this week’s show by embracing his inner pop star as he skated to One Direction‘s hit What Makes You Beautiful.

Dressed in a black and red checked shirt, the former Olympic ski jumper performed a rotating knee slide and twirls with his partner Vicky Ogden to secure a score of 33.5 – his highest of the series so far.

Judge Oti Mabuse thought it was a “brilliant” way to open the show as she felt it was “entertaining”.

Fellow judge Christopher Dean said: “I’m loving what you’re doing, I hope to see you in the semi-final.”

While Amber, who was in last week’s skate off, attempted the first one-arm rotating layout on the show to secure her top mark.

For her routine with her skating partner Simon Senecal to Waterloo by Abba, they donned 70s-inspired outfits.

Weir said he “loved it” as he felt it was “electric and exuberant”.
