A DANCING on Ice insider has lifted the lid on fiery backstage rows and tantrums.
Current celebrities skating each week for a place in the Dancing on Ice final include Ryan Thomas, Amber Davies and Adele Roberts.
But, away from the sensational performances each week, creative director Dan Whiston has insisted fans would need to see the drama backstage to believe it.
He said: “I’d love to have a camera backstage – that’s where the real show is.
“You wouldn’t believe what you are seeing – there are tantrums, tiaras and feathers everywhere, and that’s just the boys.”
Speaking to new! magazine, Dan revealed just how desperate some of the stars are to make an impact on the ice.
He continued: “We’ve had to make rehearsal time fair this year because a lot people have been saying ‘I want more time’ – but they all do.
“They’re all pushing for more time, and we have to make sure it’s the same otherwise it becomes unfair.”
Dan added: “I need to get a big hook to pull them off the ice.”
Meanwhile some fans have been left convinced the judges are “helping” Love Island star Amber reach the final.
One pointed out that Olympic skater Johnny Weir outright said he was voting for Amber because she had a better chance in the final.
His high score was one of the reasons why she was saved over Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards, who was axed at the weekend.
The guest judge has been filling in for Ashley Banjo over the past few weeks.
