As Scottish host Lorraine Kelly praised his efforts on Dancing On Ice‘s Movie Week, she said: “I have said to you, I think it’s harder for the boys.

“Because you have to lift …”

He giggled as he retorted: “You hear that girls?

“You hear that Amber?”

He was referring to Welsh performer Amber, 27, who came top in the scoring last weekend.

Lorraine continued: “I am sorry, I think it is in so many ways.”

It came after former Love Island star Amber suffered a dramatic fall while practising her routine last week.

She was also forced to deny “fix” claims after some fans suggested her West End stage background gave her an advantage on the ice.

This weekend, many fans suggested she had been “overmarked” by ITV show judges after she was awarded a score of 31 – topping the leader board for her Barbie performance.

Ryan was nestled in the middle of the leaderboard, clocking up 25 points.

Yet it was S Club singer Hannah Spearritt who was given the boot after receiving the lowest score of 20.

Meanwhile, Ryan candidly spoke about how tough it was training for the ITV reality series away from home.

He added: “I have done so many causes that are so challenging.

“This one, for some reason, is the hardest one so far.”
