DANCING On Ice’s Hannah Spearritt broke down in tears in an emotional video following her exit from the show.

The 42-year-old star was the second contestant eliminated from this year’s competition on Sunday, after failing to secure votes with the public during Movie Week.

Performing a Frozen-inspired routine to Let It Go in honour of her daughters, Hannah and pro partner Andy Buchanan scored just 20 out of 40 putting them in the danger zone.

The routine comes just days after she admitted she had been battling a secret health condition after a tooth infection caused an auto-immune disease flare-up.

Unfortunately, the public vote wasn’t able to save them and they were eliminated from Dancing On Ice after the decision was made for no skate-off.

Speaking to the ITV show’s Instagram account following her exit, Hannah clung onto Andy as she spoke about how disappointed she was that her time was cut short.

“The experience, on the whole, has been absolutely amazing and obviously being partnered with you has been so incredible,” she said, speaking of her partner.

“You’ve been the best teacher and pushed me out of my comfort zone when I’ve needed to.”

Despite the upsetting exit, Hannah added she was ‘so grateful’ to have learned how to skate, adding it was something she never thought she would do ‘in a million years’.

Hannah was visibly upset as she was consoled by Andy, who told her she ‘did better than she thinks she did’ and said: “This is the hardest show on television and I’m just so proud of every week for you… you overcame so much. You should be really proud of yourself.”

Viewers on Sunday were left stunned and furious at Hannah’s exit – which came amid a huge show shake-up in which the skate off was unexpectedly scrapped.

Instead, the contestants were told how the celebrity who received the lowest combined score from the judges and fans would be sent home.

Hannah, landed in the bottom alongside Corrie actress Claire Sweeney, who is partnered with pro Colin Grafton, who were narrowly saved.

One fan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to swiftly remark: “Seems a bit unfair. I don’t remember this happening in previous seasons.”

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday on ITVX.
