Food expert and MasterChef star Grace Dent has left the popular reality show I’m A Celebrity after just one week. Her departure was announced as being on “medical grounds” and she has already been spotted at Brisbane Airport, preparing to head home.

It appears that Dent had already anticipated her difficulties before entering the jungle. The star, aged 50, reportedly “lost all her energy” before making the mutual decision with the broadcaster to leave the show.

Even before arriving in the jungle, Dent expressed concerns about the lack of food and how it would affect her. In an interview with ITV, she mentioned that she tends to eat four or five posh meals a week as a restaurant critic, and the thought of going hungry filled her with dread.
