Grace Dent’s co-star on Masterchef, Gregg Wallace, has shared his theory on why the food critic decided to leave I’m A Celebrity after just 10 days.

Close Colleagues

Wallace, who has worked with Dent for years, expressed his concern for her well-being after hearing the news of her departure. He hopes that she is okay but does not know the exact reason why she left as they are currently filming for Masterchef.

Not About the Food

While it was speculated that Dent struggled with the limited diet of rice and beans in the jungle, Wallace believes that her experience as a food critic would have prepared her for the challenges of a Bushtucker Trial.

No Trouble for Wallace

Wallace confidently stated that the Bushtucker Trials wouldn’t bother him, as he has eaten far worse dishes during his 20 years on Masterchef. He also mentioned that he has never been approached to participate in I’m A Celebrity, unless his agent forgot to inform him about it.

Medical Grounds

ITV announced that Dent left the show on “medical grounds,” and according to sources close to her, she was physically and mentally drained after nine days in the camp. The harsh weather, challenging tasks, and lack of food took a toll on Dent, causing her to lose weight and appear gaunt.

Feeling Defeated

It became evident that something was wrong when Dent didn’t engage in camp conversations, particularly during a heated discussion about Brexit between Nigel Farage and Fred Sirieix. Her friends believe that Dent’s lack of participation was a sign of defeat.

Personal Struggles

In addition to the challenging circumstances of the show, Dent is also dealing with the upcoming anniversary of her father’s death, which may have contributed to her decision to leave. Her loved ones believe that leaving the show was the best choice for her, as I’m A Celebrity is not suitable for everyone.
