People watching I’m A Celeb were livid last night after Boy George turned on Scarlette in the Bush Telegraph.

The pop icon admitted he was offended when TV presenter Scarlette casually asked him: “What happened with you and some guy in handcuffs and a radiator?”

The remark took him off guard and further fuelled his irritation after Scarlette had shut down a conversation between him and MP Matt Hancock – with George wanting to grill Matt on political views.

Fans flocked to Twitter astounded by Scarlette, with one saying: “Scarlette to win. Crown her.”

Another said: “Scarlette has to win for radiator gate.”

A third chimed in: “Swear I want Scarlette Douglas to win.”

A fourth said: “This episode is Scarlette’s turning point where people start to love her even more (I wanted her to win since episode 1 , she’s iconic.)

Scarlette certainly ruffled feathers with Boy George when she shut down a conversation between him and MP Matt Hancock – with George wanting to grill Matt on political views.

Scarlette later brought up George’s criminal past in front of Matt and claimed she hadn’t known that he had spent time in prison.

In 2008, Boy George, whose real name is George Alan O’Dowd, was convicted of assault and false imprisonment.

A flustered Boy George quickly replied: “That’s not true. I didn’t beat him. If I had I wouldn’t still be working today.”

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Boy George later said: “Scarlette blatantly talked about my court case.

“I thought it was inappropriate what she did, actually. I thought she shouldn’t have said what she said to me.

“And I thought I handled it really well as it’s a big sore point for me when people say things like that.”

But viewers said it wasn’t fair of him to keep his past a secret when Matt and Seann Walsh, who cheated on his girlfriend during Strictly, had been quizzed on their controversial history.

One moaned: “Boy George thinking Scarlette asking him about the court case was inappropriate..your behaviour towards Matt has been awful. Hypocrite.”

A second remarked: “It’s ok for him to continuously hassle Matt Hancock at his leisure but when he’s put on the spot by Scarlette he gets all diva on us.”
