Breaking Point
The American star and sister to pop sensation Britney has left after spending days in tears and suffering from homesickness.
Last night, I’m A Celebrity viewers saw her breaking down once more while eating a piece of chocolate, saying she “hates it here”.
A Phone Call Home
Moments earlier she entered the jungle phonebox, and appeared to try to use it to call home.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one said: “I just know the producers were scared for a minute when Jamie Lynn tried to use the phone box.”
Unexpected Discovery
Another said: “Imagine if, after all these years, the phonebox made outbound calls, no one ever thought to try it and Jamie Lynn Spears was the first one to give it a go?”
Ready to Leave
After eating her chocolate Jamie half-joked to Sam Thompson that she wanted to leave, which prompted him to try and make light of the situation.
“I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it here,” she said.
“This place is where people go to have the worst days of their lives.
“Dear God please help me to make it. I think I’ve got to leave, I think I’ve got to leave,” she added.
The Girl Who Cried Wolf
He said that she wouldn’t leave and that she had become known as the “girl who cried wolf”, and Jamie Lynn wasn’t impressed.
“I’m not the girl who cried wolf, I’m speaking honestly about my emotions,” she said.
“You’re never leaving, you’re going to be here longer than we are” Sam replied.
“I’m not crying wolf, I mean it every single time I say I want to leave,” she said bluntly.
Mocking Her Accent
Fred joined the conversation and joked that she will probably outlast everyone on the show.
“She’ll be in the final two saying: ‘I’m gonna leave, I’m gonna walk, y’all’,” mocking her accent.
A Change of Perspective
Sam asked her if she wanted to be rocked to sleep in her hammock, hoping that would make her feel better, but she refused.
“No because you said I cried wolf, I don’t cry wolf I mean it, every time I want to leave,” she continued.
“I have bad days, not every day is sunshine and roses, do you have bad days Sam?”
Sam said that he does have bad days, but then told her a story about how he spotted a frog while he was showering.
“There were frogs everywhere and it was really, really pretty. And I just stood there and thought that I’m never going to be in a place where I can see that beautiful waterfall with little lanterns next to it and loads of wild frogs whilst you’re showering.”
His analogy appeared to cheer Jamie Lynn up and she agreed that whenever she wanted to leave that she would think about the waterfall and the frogs.
